Two week old Tegu biting my finger

The other day as I was moving the substrate around my Tegu lashed at me. I thought that since I have giving her crickets before she may have thought that one was around my fingers when she saw me moving the substrate. Well today I attempted to feed her a piece of fruit by hand, she came to me slowly and ignore the fruit, walked on my hand and then bit my thumb. I'm I doing something wrong?

I would say nothing .some would say you shouldn't feed by hand. I'm on the fence about that. I believe your young one is testing you? Hold your ground like you would if she was a 3 year old plopped down in walmart screening cause she didn't get her way

you could be trying to move her too fast and creating a negative feeling around your hand...... patiens is key..... try just putting in your hand NOT to handle or feed her but for her to explore and get the scent of you.
