Hi, friends! I’m new here. I have a 4 month old B&W tegu. He is having some issues with his tail. His tail has looked like it’s getting ready to shed for a few weeks but hasn’t fully shed yet. He gets plenty of humidity, a soak 3-4 times a week, proper vitamins/supplements, and fed ground turkey with said vitamins/supplements. He is still a picky youngin’ and is really only interested in the meat (haven’t been able to get him to eat fruits and veggies yet) so far which I’m not concerned about. Today, we noticed these raw looking (and so evenly spaced) cracks in his tail. A few even look like they’re bleeding. He doesn’t act like it hurts when we touch it and nothing comes off when we touch it. Does anyone have any idea what these could be?

Best thing for probs with shed is fish oil so far as I know. Some are having results with Vit B-complex supplement.
