Stuck shed? On head

I recently noticed a patch of what I thought was just some substrate stuck to my tegu’s head, I have been working a ton of overtime so I didn’t really get the chance to check it out. Today I finally did really look at it and it looks like it may be stuck shed but it’s really thick and doesn’t want to come off. I put some shedding aid on it and tried rubbing it in / attempting to get it off. I got a patch of it to peel off but it looks like just exposed flesh. Anyone had this problem? Any suggestions on what to do?

That looks more like a scab / burn to me........ certainly doesn't look right anyway, I'd be keeping an eye on it and getting some neosporin and if gets any worse a vet visit.

That’s what first came to my mind but just wasn’t sure. I only recently built his new 8x3x3 cage and he did break out of his old cage through the screen just under his heat lamp. Probably directly touched it. Thank you for your reply! I’ll keep an eye on it and hope for the best!

I recommend using some plain Neosporin (no pain reliever added) and putting it on once or twice a day. Not only is it antibacterial and safe, it will provide a little barrier to keep bacteria and dirt from getting in.
