Should I “wake” him up.

Hey guys, I received my baby Argentine on Wednesday and he seems to be adjusting alright. He’s about 18” long and 140grams. I’ve noticed that he’s very active, basking and eating, if I dig him up but doesn’t come up otherwise. He can bask at a few spots between 100 and 125 degrees, warm end is 80-85 degrees and the coolest end drops to about 72. Should I just leave him be when he’s buried or should I dig him up to make sure he’s eating.

Welcome. Let him settle in. First day they usually eat, then realize they're not in Kansas anymore and hide out for a week or so. Let the routine sink in. in the meantime, place a worn shirt in his hide, and talk to him.
