Purifying Water?

I'm using tap water for my Savannah, I looked into pre-bottled water but that's just way to expensive to use all the time. I'm going to buy product to remove chlorine/heavy metals from the tap water. He'd be drinking/soaking in this water so it needs to be clean. What do you use/recommend to filter the water?

It is not necessary but if you feel more comfortable doing it, just fill gallon jugs and let them sit open for 24-48 hours.

I would use the same water I drink and soak in, tap water. If you want it to be chlorine free, as James said, let it sit out open for 24-48. Chlorine oxidizes and becomes almost impossible to detect in that time.

That's interesting. Curious, is this advisable for other reptiles too? Can other reptiles drink tap water? I know I usually read people saying we should use bottles of water etc.
