What do all the symbols mean beside posts. Some have rainbows others have faces, i don't get it. And im sorry if this isn't the right place for this question

They're just little silly symbols you can choose to put next to yoru posts if/when you like. They don not "mean" anything per se, but some do sort of say something...
such as...
If I didn't like your post I could choose the thumbs down...
If I did like your post I could choose the thumbs up...
If I were posting a series of pics I could choose the film strip...
If I was posting a joking response I could choose the wink
If I was being totally silly I could choose the... this thing
If I was proud of a clever idea I could choose the lightbulb...
If I was lamenting that my snakes won't breed I could complain that I think they are gay and use the rainbow...
etc, etc...
They're just for fun...
