I had savannah monitors, water monitors, etc as a teenager. Last Christmas, my dwarf monitor passed away, leaving a lizard shaped hole in my heart. After much discussion, my wife finally relented and we got a young B&W Tegu. 80% sure it’s a she, no “spur scale” patterns near the vent. We call her Tiamat, after the Dungeons and Dragons’ goddess of dragons.

Fairly skittish, but already showing improvements after 4 days. Already looking at blueprints and designs for her adult enclosure.

My wife just saw an adult female B&W at the county fair. Her eyes about popped out of her head! Plus side was she got to hold it, give it some neck rubs, and it snuggled against her, so now she’s hoping the same will happen with our baby.
