New tegu how should I start??

Hello!! I picked up my new 1 yr old blue tegu yesterday! I was wondering though should I let him out today? Yesterday that was all he wanted to do! Also how should I introduce him to my other tegu? I wont introduce them right away I will when the time is right time, so what I was mainly wondering is how should I start with him? My mom is saying to leave him alone but he doesnt want to be left alone and just wants to come out so advice would be appreciated!
