My new tegu

    I got him from a reptile store but there is something wrong with his mouth and they just said they got him like that it’s like scales missing and he look like he has human lips don’t know how to post a picture of him but I’ll soon figure it out. Ok I got it check him out and tell me what u think

    Umm never buy from a pet store but birth defect, injury from importing, mouth rot? He looks healthy otherwise.

    Almost looks like he had his bottom lip ripped

    Is there anything I cancan do to help him heal better or if it’s mouth rot what can I do? And will this ever get better?

    I know I shouldn’t have bought from a reptile store but I went there to buy feeders and saw him, held him, seen the condition of his mouth and made the decision to take him home❤️

    I'd begin with a trip to the vet. Always a good start with a new herp under any circumstances.

    Not long ago someone else posted they had issues with their new BW that has something wrong with its lip....ended up being old Shed that had not come off. Just throwing that in for consideration. Difficult to see in the pics

    He is young. You would be surprised how much they can fix/fill in things as they grow.
