Moved and now my Tegu is really aggressive

So I got Fat Mike (named after the lead singer of NOFX) at like 13 inches on October tenth. He's now a little over two feet. We just recently moved across town and ever since he's been crazy aggressive. He does the snake tail thing and now lunges at my hands. Before he was a little skittish but I never had any problems handling him. What the hell should I do?

He's probably very stressed from the move. The best thing you can do is give him a bit of space. You'll have to ease back into socializing him. Human interaction can be stressful for any tegu, so the added stress of moving has probably just put Mike over the edge.

Have patience, give him space, let him get used to your scent without going to touching him and progressively move it closer over time.
