They are not hard to come across. Argentine Black and whites are all over south Florida. Running wild

That's true and since Florida is trying to outlaw Tegus and Alabama has there may be a lot of Tegu's looking for homes.

Florida did pass the tegu and reptile ban recently, it is in effect now. But even aside from that, the buying market for tegus is constantly flooded, I mean they're pretty much always available in almost every state in the US, the breeding of tegus is constant
