I’ve read a lot of posts of Tegus being a year old and being almost 3ft long, my Tegu is just about 65cm or 2ft. Is it normal that he is shorter? He is incredibly active, he’s never been sick or anything, he’s eating a lot and I feed him whole prey 2-3 times a week. Is it just genetics? or am I doing something wrong?
BTW, he has UBV lights and his basking spot is always around 120F-130F

How bigs his enclosure he looks pretty cramped his size is fine but at his age he should be in an at least 8ft long enclosure

Yeah I know, were building a new one right now, but his current is 5x4. Although by the next week we’re moving him to a 8x5 that’s a work in progress.

As long as you are happy that its healthy I wouldn't worry, all animals can be different sizes or grow different.... There is no norm.
