Hello everyone! I am a first time tegu owner who has been secretively lurking on this site gathering notes on how to care for a tegu before I made my move. Now... I am the proud dad of this adorable little bean. Her name is Sapphire or Sapphee as her nickname. She is a very young blue tegu. Her favorite food includes mealworms, crickets, eggs and strawberries.

I've only had her for about a month and she is already tamed to the point where she come out as soon as I offer my hand for her to climb on

What a beauty!! You've been lurking in the right place! I have gotten the best info for the last 2.5 years on this forum. People that love their animals, and really care about them. Don't forget your calcium supplement for him/her. Cute name.

I may be a new tegu dad, but I am no stranger to the joys of being a reptile dad. I probably take better care of my pets and family than I do myself. lol
