Hey Varnyard, I had a few questions about breeding. I have a few Argentines right now, they went into hibernation 2 months ago. They are all around 3 feet. I have read that the females produce eggs right before they go into hibernation, in their 2nd year. Is this always based on age alone, or size too? At how old can males and females breed? Could breeding early cause problems for the female?

Thanks for any and all input.

The Argentine B/Ws are three before they start to breed, reds are two. I had two year old reds that produced this season, but never B/Ws at that age.
