That's definitely a crazy experience. Good thing you realized in time though. The food processor is definitely a good idea. I use it to make a mash for my tegus, usually a mixture of ground turkey with chicken livers, hearts, and gizzards, with a handful of spring mix for veggies and whatever...
I feed my tegus a mixture of ground turkey and chicken livers and hearts with greens and fruits mixed in. And u dust it with calcium and multivitamin and fish oil before I give it to them. I give them Dunia roaches as kind of a treat and I'm gonna try horn worms next time I see some nice juicy...
From what I understand as males become sexually mature their hemipenes just kind of pop out. I don't know the reasoning behind it, I've just heard of it happening from a few breeders. And apparently it is normal.
Looks like he dropped a hemipene. That would make him male for sure. I'm guessing he's about 2 or 3 years old and would say he's reached sexual maturity.
