Apparently, plywood glue is often phenolic based. I feel like it might be a myth created due to pine chips being poisonous... I don't know. It is a resin produced by the wood that's damaging.
I heard that it does since the sap is the problem. Apparently, there isn't much science to support the pine wood issue as it's a cousin of cedar and so it's theorized.
I don't use it but for smaller enclosures, I was wondering if it truly is toxic? I believe that most plywood have pine in it anyways and it is dried.
It looks like the information might be a few years old. Just want to know opinions.
Anyone willing to give me an inexpensive idea for a hide? My tegu is now over 28" and every hide she use to love is too small. She's been acting with a bit more aggression so I think she's in her hormonal stage. I know this might sound odd but would old sheets work? She loves to escape and go...
I'm running a humidifier attached to a pvc pipe. It works well enough. I didn't like the repti-fogger because it doesn't have a long enough time between refills.
Ended up going with a Peach Throat Monitor. I am building an enclosure for it this weekend because he is about 18". He is super cool but his claws are so sharp which is reasonable considering they need those for climbing. It may never be too tame but I wanted to try out a completely different...
