Hi Everyone,
I need to find homes for my 2 male Extreme Giants. They were hatched June 26th, 2008 by Bobby Hill. One is from Ice x Hail the other is from Snow x Sleet. Both have great dispositions and have received the best care possible. They have been cycled every year since hatching and eat...
How is everyone!? Super busy on my end but wanted to drop by and say hi. My tegs are starting to pop their heads out and I anticipate them coming out of hibernation soon. Can't wait! Hope everyone is doing well!

Yours absolutely would have spurs already if it was a male. If you are still not convinced you can look for the hemipenes to protrude when it defecates or for sperm plugs in the feces.

My first suggestion is don't buy any lights off ebay. While you may get a better price you don't know the quality or burn time of the lights. They may have been used before and lost beneficial UVB production.
I recommend a 10.0 bulb over 5.0 secondly.
While, I have never used a solar glo, in...
Dang, that sucks. IMO, your first move would be to try and contact the manager/administrator of the reptile display and express your concerns. Especially, in a respectful manner. Don't try and undermine any authority but merely suggest that the current setups are not adequate and that clear...
No it will not affect the overall nutrition content of the fruit.
65 Fahrenheit is a good temp for hibernation. Anything below that and you might want to consider a secondary heat source. They can hibernate the first year through the rest of their lives. It is best to cycle them with the...
This may or may not be the case but I tend to disagree. I have 2 males and their overall head shape is very different. If I were to go by this the one would be a female. But being as he has spurs and I have seen his hemipenes and sperm plugs I know it's a male. I think each tegu have it's unique...
