My new Golden Tegu, Maynard.

I just recently drove an hour to an exotic pet store to get my first larger sized lizard. It was between a Golden Tegu or Savannah Monitor. At the end of the day, my wife won the debate and we got the Tegu. I'm not sad about it one bit however, because I love this little guy.
