New tegu owner help

I got my tegu on the 17th of this month. I noticed that I cant get him to come out of his burrow even with foods. I've never even seen him wonder around his enclosure. I dont want to uncover him to get him to eat. Should I dig him out to encourage him to eat or leave him alone till he's ready?

EDIT*Forget to mention he's a wild juvenile
