I am wanting to buy a tegu and have found captive bred hatchlings would one make a good pet. I have heard that colombian tegus are aggressive.

Do you have any experience with lizards? Are you looking to get a black & white tegus or a golden tegus?

I have two Colombians and they are not aggressive. They never tried to bite or tail whip. And they don't hiss at me.
